Problem
What should I do if I lose something on my cruise?
If you realize you've misplaced something during your voyage, act quickly. Retrace your steps, check with nearby crew members, and report the loss to guest services or security right away. Our onboard AI assistant can also guide you through the lost and found process, instantly checking our item retrieval database and helping you file a report for faster recovery.
Retrace Your Steps and Notify a Crew Member
Revisit the places you visited recently - your stateroom, dining venues, pools, lounges, and any activity areas. Often, items are found by fellow guests or crew and turned in before you even realize they are missing. If you see a crew member, describe the item and when you last had it. They can quickly escalate the search to the housekeeping or security team.
Report the Loss to Guest Services or Security
Visit the Guest Services desk on your ship. Provide a detailed description of the lost item - brand, color, size, any distinctive markings, and when and where you last saw it. The team will log a report and cross-check it against items already held in lost and found. If time is critical, security can also review camera footage in public areas for a specific timeframe.
How Our AI Assistant Can Help with Your Search
Our customer service AI agent is trained on the ship’s lost property recovery procedures. Open the chat on our app or website, and the assistant will guide you through reporting a missing item. It taps into our real-time lost and found knowledge base, so its answers are always grounded in the latest onboard policies. Through custom actions, the assistant can also trigger an internal alert to the security team or pre-fill a retrieval request form for you to review.
The Onboard Lost and Found Process
When an item is found, crew members tag it with the date, location, and a unique ID number. It is securely stored until the end of the cruise. During the voyage, you can check with Guest Services at any time to see if your item has been logged. If found, you’ll need to present identification and describe the item to confirm ownership before it is returned.
Retrieving an Item After Your Cruise
If your item is found after you’ve disembarked, don’t worry. Unclaimed items are transferred to our shore-side lost property center, where they are catalogued and held for 90 days. Contact our after-cruise lost and found team by email or phone with your sailing date, stateroom number, and a full description. Once a match is confirmed, we can arrange shipping to your address - packing and postage fees will be quoted for your approval before dispatch.
